We are Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey (GSNNJ) serving girls in grades K-12 in Bergen, Morris, Passaic, Sussex and northern Warren counties.
We bring the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to 18,000 girls and 10,000 adult members.
We are looking for a Foundation Relations Manager to come and join our team! This is a hybrid role and offers lot of flexibility.
Under the supervision of the Director of Development, the Foundation Relations Manager is responsible for researching, writing and producing funding proposals and reports to support operating, program, and capital needs to both long-term, established funders and newly identified funders.
Essential duties include but are not limited to:
In collaboration with Fund Development team's leadership, responsible for developing and implementing a foundation fundraising strategy aligned with GSNNJ's strategic goals Write, manage and administer foundation, corporate and government grants and contracts that support Council programs, capital projects and general operations Spearhead collaboration with senior staff, community engagement department, program team and other department heads to identify and develop grant-supported programs and budgets Research and identify grant funding prospects meeting internal goals as developed by Fund Development team Develop letter of inquiry and proposal packages, including writing narratives, budgets and all other required attachments, complying with all required guidelines and deadlines Interpret funders' grant policies, procedures and requirements, and provide grants management advice on an ongoing basis Coordinate grants accounting and financial reporting with the finance department to ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the award For awarded grants, provide support for contract execution, and ensure that internal stakeholders with responsibility to execute the grant, expend funds and report on deliverables have all information and tools needed.
Manage the contracts/grant agreement process and track the annual grants calendar Maintain electronic funder files with support from Executive Associate Fund Development Work with Executive Associate Fund Development and Director of Development to track grant revenue and generate revenue reports for CDO and senior leadership Establish and foster ongoing relationships with Council departments, funders, partners and volunteers Edit/proofread materials for Development and Marketing, as needed As is the case with all our roles at the GSNNJ council, we are a small and passionate team of lifelong learners who jump in to support our staff across departments.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent related work experience.
Knowledge and experience in grant writing and foundation, corporate and state/federal funding practices.
Experience with fundraising databases and/org grant prospecting tools Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills.
Effective use of language, creativity, and commitment.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to maintain positive relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders Able to work effectively and achieve goals both individually and as part of a team.
Experience with Microsoft Office package, including Word and Excel.
Ability to collect and analyze data.
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
Ability to problem solve creatively.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to meeting strict deadlines, and setting priorities Specific knowledge and/or experience with Girl Scouts or youth focused organizations is preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
